Waffle Home waitress arrested soon after allegedly finding higher in the toilet

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Saturday, July 10 at 4 am, officers with the Monroe Police Department’s Heat crew ended up recommended that a waitress at the Waffle House on North 18th Avenue was having high in the restroom.

Per the arrest report, officers encountered 31-year-previous Candace Townsend after she exited the men’s restroom. As officers started questioning Townsend, she recommended she was only making use of the restroom and tried to walk away.

When officers started investigating the restroom she experienced exited, Townsend ran back into the restroom, and grabbed a pink and white bag on the counter and tried to cover it driving her back.

Finally, Townsend admitted in the course of questioning that she was smoking meth in the restroom, she also admitted to acquiring meth and cannabis in the bag.

After seeking Townsend’s bag, officers located two distinct cellophane baggage of crystal meth, a very clear bag of marijuana, two Subutex products, and a warm glass meth pipe.

Townsend was transported to the Ouachita Correctional Heart on Possession of CDS I, II and III, as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
